The Learning Tree Child Care Center proudly presents
TREErific Fitness
a unique physical education program designed to help children grow and develop in a safe and fun way!
The Learning Tree knows how important physical play is to children these days. Often times children prefer to play a rousing game of basketball on the computer rather than getting out on the court themselves and shooting baskets. Statistics also show that children are more apt to retain information that is presented to them after they have participated in some sort of movement or physical activity. This is why, each classroom at The Learning Tree (preschool thru school age) will have the opportunity to participate twice a week in a 45 minute class that focuses on fitness, muscle development, and physical activity. The children will learn new gross motor skills, body recognition, muscle control, not to mention important life lessons like taking turns, good sportsmanship and following directions. We have state of the art equipment that is both age appropriate and
challenging that will help the children master all the skills they are taught.
Our TREErific Fitness Directors have designed age specific lesson plans that are guaranteed to have the children movin', shakin' and gigglin'! Each class session will be taking place in our very own Gymnasium, Gross Motor Room, outside 9weather permitting) on the beautiful Learning Tree grounds or at the park. Be sure to check your child's classroom for their TREErific Fitness class time.
